R4IT's current areas of expertise:
R4IT personnel have been involved with developing, managing and supporting projects deployed throughout the world. Systems include unattended networked ground sensor systems for DoD customers; various systems requiring digital signal processing, including acoustic applications and custom embedded DSP electronic signals processing; database systems utilizing C/C++ and JAVA GUI for system independence; system software maintenance, including custom GUI interfacing to provide customer-required system metrics for UNIX and VMS systems on a LAN containing in excess of 100 nodes of both types - in this particular case, metrics-gathering performance was improved from a matter of days to less than 3 hours per run.
Lifecycle software support was provided for aging systems with components that could no longer be replaced, while replacement systems were designed and developed. These systems were in support of remote sites around the globe. Replacement system design included Integrated Life Cycle Support.
R4IT personnel include various former military members, including a USN Pilot, a USAF OSI & Chief Logistics Plans / Installation Deployment Officer (Lackland) and a USAF Intelligence Analyst, who have dealt with the needs of joint services, and managed various military projects, including deployment and high-tech quick-fix issues for various military components. One received a medal for project management of a high-tech project in support of Operation Desert Storm. R4IT desires to work issues of concern to DoD, including Joint Service warfighter support, Intelligence Community and Homeland Defense.
Customer networking support has been in the area of Collaboration Associate Product Line Management (APLM) and included multi-agency projects. Support in Campus Area Network (CAN) APLM included Quality of Service (QoS), CAN Modernization, Configuration Management, Change Management, Acquisition Logistics Support Plan (ALSP) and support for other network services such as Active Directory, Voice and Video, and Multipath.

Work includes independent and team efforts. Changing environment, numerous short deadlines. Multiple projects with multiple Intelligence Community agencies. Projects included high-tech development and integration. Projects were developed following IT Governance. Projects included site installations and type-certifications. One person separated from active duty with the USAF as an OSI Special Agent is a Six Sigma Black Belt Implementation Coordinator, and is available for work in a logistics or PM role, and is especially interested in opportunities in support of Homeland Defense.
All personnel are cleared for TS/SCI, with current full-Scope polygraphs. Most are currently working in support of various DoD customers.
CONUS and overseas travel is welcome, in both TDY and PCS positions and maintenance and/or management of remote sites would also be welcome.

Analyzes client requirements for systems or subsystem components. As the technical expert in a given area, leads solution construction, implementation, systems integration and/or support for that technology or business area.
Information Technology Availability Professional
Ensures that customer systems availability goals are met by providing guidance and product support solutions as well as technical support for high availability. Delivers a variety of customer services offerings across a wide range of platforms and technologies.
Technical Services Professional
Performs information technology system services to support client user communities. Operates and maintains complex centralized and/or distributed information technology components or systems in a multi-vendor environment.
Configuration Management
Maintains control of updates and all revisions of software using Configuration Management tools, such as ClearCase and CVS. Controls, manages, and tracks Discrepancy Reports using tools, such as ClearQuest and Issue Manager. Coordinates and acts as secretary for Configuration Control Boards. Performs duties as Technical Editor for all program documentation. Maintains program software and documentation libraries.
Network Engineer
WAN, MAN and LAN design, cable plant analysis, installation and maintenance using the following technologies:
Cisco Routers, Access Switches & Terminal Servers, Channel Service Unit/Data Service Unit (CSU/DSU), Ethernet Switches, WAN & MAN Circuits and Structured Cable Plants,
Structured Cable Plants for LAN design and deployment using fiber SC, ST, 3M’s VF45 and AMP’s MTRJ terminations and patch panels, File Servers, Operating Systems & Desktop Workstations,Desktop/Workstations-Desktop OS
Hardware: IBM PC and clones including PC system builds from the printed circuit board level up. Legacy systems as old as Intel 286 were supported as late as 2000.
